If you change the boot order of drives in your computer’s BIOS, you can run the Windows 7 installation directly from your USB flash drive or DVD when you turn on your computer. Bootable media allows you to install Windows 7 without having to first run an existing operating system on your machine. The copy of the ISO file that the Windows USB/DVD Download tool Windows 8.1 64 bit for free, creates is bootable. Note: You cannot install Windows from the ISO file until you copy it to a USB flash drive or DVD with the WUDT Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool and install from there. To install Windows from your USB flash drive or DVD, all you need to do is insert the USB flash drive into your USB port or insert your DVD into your DVD drive and run Setup.exe from the root folder on the drive. This tool allows you to create a copy of the ISO file to a USB flash drive or a DVD. When you download the ISO file, you need to copy it to some medium in order to install Windows. I don't know whether this matters or not.The ISO file contains all the Windows installation files combined into a single uncompressed file. I only format my usb uing FAT32 quick format. I am running the program in 64bit Windows 7 and try to create a bootable usb for the same 64bit Windows 7. NOTE: unlike many other questions, I don't have problem with bootsec (I guess it is run as part of the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool as I don't need to install it or run it separately at all). I did disable all devices except "USB HDD" so it should either try to boot from usb or if it cannot recognize or boot from usb then stop prompting no bootable device. Why it can still load my existing Windows 7.Why the computer doesn't boot from the usb. However, it doesn't get me to the installation page but still load the existing Windows 7 from my hard drive. Then I reboot my computer and set the first bootable device to "USB HDD" and disable all other devices. I use the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool and run it without any problem. I try to install windows 7 using a bootable usb.
